NASDAQ Select Market Maker Program

The criteria used to designate market makers with the NASDAQ Select Market Maker status have been updated, raising the bar even higher to provide listed companies with a clearer picture of which market makers are maintaining the highest levels of trading quality in their stock. The NASDAQ Select Market Maker Program is designed to provide increased transparency into the role of a company's market makers, creating a quality metric beyond trading volume for listed companies to use in their evaluation of market makers for investment banking services. Market makers that meet certain trading criteria are designated with "SMM" status, which allows companies to easily identify the brokers who meet this quality metric. A monthly report of Select Market Maker designations is available on the Select Market Maker page on NASDAQ Online at www.nasdaq.net or contact your MID Director for more information.
